A recreation of the Hindenburg did not come to fruition, but it was close.
First Friday’s Hack-a-thon brought in over 20 people who hung out and participated. There were also those who passed through to check out what has happening here at theClubhou.se. At the end of the night we had three participants present their efforts: two were video game endeavors, the third was extracting hydrogen from water…HYDROGEN HARVESTING!!! Mark Drifty visited the Hack-a-thon and brought along with him his solar-powered contraption to demonstrate the separation of hydrogen particles from oxygen in distilled water, providing a demonstration that the balloon holding the hydrogen did indeed “float”. It was awesome to have him share this with those present, showcasing what so many of us do: tinker with our interests.
The making aspect of the Hack-a-thon is the point of the event, though another key to the evening is the constant dialogue in clusters. Conversations ranged from gaming to gardening and it continued well after the event concluded. This exemplifies theClubhou.se’s role in connecting individuals to folks of similar interests. The Hack-a-thon is the beacon event for the month, though the other days of the month are just as fertile for connecting with other members and collaborating, so come on down!
